Restaurants, Bars, and Gyms in Rio Ready to Reopen This Thursday

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Following a 4-month shutdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, bars, restaurants, and gyms in Rio are back in operation on Thursday, July 2nd, under a range of restrictions and the obligation to comply with several safety protocols established by the city government.

The reopening is part of Stage 3 of the flexibilization schedule planned by the city government.

Establishments adapt to follow new regulations:

  • Half capacity;
  • Tables 2 meters apart;
  • Preference is given to open areas;
  • Self-service remains forbidden;
