RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Seven state police officers were murdered in the state of Rio de Janeiro in the first month of 2020.
The seventh victim was State Police lieutenant, Jobson João Lima, 56, who was killed on Friday, January 31st, along with his partner, while driving along Brasil Avenue, in the west zone of the capital.
The couple was killed in a robbery attempt. The criminals’ car came alonsgside the victim’s vehicle, which was shot several times.
The ‘Disque-Denúncia’ (“Dial-Denounce”) is offering a reward of R$5,000 to anyone who provides clues about the case.
