Main Runway Works at Rio’s Santos Dumont Airport Forces Flights to be Transferred to Galeão

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - As of August 24th, Latam, Azul, and Gol flights will be transferred from Santos Dumont Airport to Tom Jobim International Airport (RioGaleão). The measure is a result of the complete interdiction of the main runway at the domestic airport for maintenance works. Adjustments are expected to be achieved on September 21st.

Latam reported that all operations at Santos Dumont will be transferred to RioGaleão during this time and that passengers affected by the suspension will be notified by the company to reschedule their flights or be reimbursed.
