RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Thursday, May 7th, the state of Rio de Janeiro recorded more deaths from the novel coronavirus than the state of São Paulo, the epicenter of the disease in Brazil, according to regional health bodies.
According to data from the Rio de Janeiro Health Secretariat, on Thursday 189 deaths caused by Covid-19 were reported, a higher figure than that recorded in São Paulo on the same day, with 161 deaths.
