RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Ice Cream heaven, packed beaches and plenty of heat. Friday, January 10th, was yet another January day of true Rio de Janeiro summer.
According to the city hall's 'Rio Alert' system, the maximum temperature registered during the afternoon was 38 degrees (Celsius) at the Irajá measuring station, in the North Zone, where the 'feels like' temperature reached 48.6 degrees at 12:45 PM - the highest so far registered in 2020.
