RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The State Secretariat of the Civil Police (SEPOL) of Rio de Janeiro launched on Friday, November 29th, an operation against crimes of extortion, embezzlement [undue advantage], criminal organization and grand larceny. The targets are state police officers.
Seven arrest warrants and 14 search and seizure warrants are being served.
The operation is carried out by agents of the Department of Repression of Crimes Against Immaterial Property (DRCPIM), with the support of the State Police Inspector of Internal Affairs.
