RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A 56-year-old Civil Police officer was killed and an 18-year-old young woman was shot during a confrontation between military police and criminals in Santa Rosa, southern zone of Niterói, across Guanabara Bay from Rio de Janeiro. Two suspects were arrested in the operation, and one of them was also injured.
According to military police, military members of the 12°BPM (Niterói) were on their way to refuel their vehicles when they spotted two cars with armed men crossing the avenue . . .
