RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – This Sunday, October 14th, Brazilian superstar Anitta is going to be hosting a special ‘Show das Poderosinhas’ (The Little, Mighty Ones Show) aimed at a younger audience. This concert will be taking place at Barra da Tijuca’s Km de Vantagens Hall.
Undoubtedly one of the largest representatives of the Brazilian pop scene nowadays, singer Anitta will be returning to the Cidade Maravilhosa to present her special children’s show, ‘Show das Poderosinhas,’ in honor of Children’s Day.
In this show, Anitta will present her greatest hits in front of a colorful backdrop, with special costumes and routines to create an atmosphere of fun and joy on stage. The show is also a matinee performance to encourage attendance of a younger audience, with Anitta also promising to present an animated feature along with songs written especially for children.
Fans of all ages can expect to hear her biggest hits, including ‘Show das Poderosas,’ (Show of the Mighty), ‘Não Para,’ (Don’t Stop), ‘Essa Mina é Louca’ (Mine is Crazy) ‘Bang,’ and ‘Deixa Ele Sofrer’ (Let It Suffer).
The international breakout star will also be presenting more recent songs, such as ‘Paradinha,’ ‘Vai Malandra,’ and ‘Machika,’ as well as her duets with singer Maluma, in ‘Yes or No,’ and with Iggy Azalea in ‘Switch.’
After breaking out with her 2013 hit ‘Show das Poderosas,’ Anitta has gone on to collect numerous awards such as ‘Brazilian Artist of the Year’ by iTunes in 2013, ‘Best Show’ and ‘Best Music’ by Multishow in 2015, and ‘Best Brazilian Artist’ at the EMAs in 2016.
This year, in the first edition of MTV MIAW (MTV Millenial Awards), Anitta was the most awarded artist, taking home three trophies. Today, Anitta has more than 9 million followers on her YouTube channel, with her videos accumulating more than 2.6 billion views. Her instagram account is number one in Brazil, with more than 28 million followers.
Popular with the LGBTI community, Anitta also recently made the news by following an instagram account linked to far-right presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro. She quickly distanced herself from this story, although without revealing which way she would vote in the upcoming elections.
