RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Netflix released today the first trailer of "The Edge of Democracy" (Democracia em Vertigem), a documentary on Dilma Rousseff's impeachment. The film, shown at the 2019 Sundance Festival, will be available for viewing on the platform on June 19th.
"The Edge of Democracy" is the work of director Petra Costa, who has previously directed the praised documentaries "Elena" and " Olmo and the Seagull". It explores one of the most dramatic events in the history of Brazil, from a personal and political point of view.
