Grammy Award-Winner Robert Glasper to Play Rio’s Municipal Theater Tonight

Dubbed by the New York Times as “probably the most prominent jazz musician of his generation,” Robert Glasper will be playing with his Electric Trio, plus participation from DJ Sundance.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – This Tuesday, June 4th, Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist, singer and producer Robert Glasper will be stopping at Rio’s prestigious “Theatro Municipal” (Municipal Theater) for a one-time concert.

Coming from Houston, Texas, Glasper has made a name for himself as one of the most exciting new jazz artists in America. His albums “Black Radio” and “Black Radio 2”, released in 2012 and 2014 respectively, both won Grammy Awards for their innovative blend of jazz, hip-hop, and R'n'B.

More recently he has released the 2015 album “Covered” which featured jazz-inspired covers . . .
