Queremos! Festival 2019 Comes to Rio’s Marina da Glória this Saturday

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – This Saturday, June 15th, one of Rio’s most anticipated festivals returns to Marina da Glória. After the popular and critical success of 2018’s festival, Queremos! Festival is back, bringing with them a diverse musical cast including MPB legend Gal Costa, Duda Beat, and even Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica (Petrobras Symphony Orchestra).

The line-up is huge, with a promised fourteen hours of music being squeezed in between the opening time of 1:30 PM on Saturday afternoon and closing at 4 AM on Sunday morning. There will be live music from top Brazilian groups such as Baco Exu do Blues, Carne Doce, Criolo, Duda Beat, Forró Red Light, Luedji Luna, and Jade Baraldo.

On top of that, the Canadian singer Allie X will be performing, plus there will be special live shows from the renowned U.S. supergroup Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and the Italian band Nu Guinea.

Perhaps one of the most special events of the whole festival will be the opening act, where Rio’s Petrobras Symphony Orchestra will be presenting an extraordinary show called “Bohemian Rhapsody” interpreting some of the greatest hits from British band Queen’s oeuvre.

Thiago Nasser from Junta Local will manage the food court, including participation from some of Rio’s finest culinary talents, including Bel Trufas, Brota, Ceviche RJ, Comuna, Espírito de Porco, Experimento Café, and Lanches Lanches.
