São Paulo edition of Lollapalooza festival announces attractions for 2022

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Lollapalooza Brazil announced this Thursday, 28, the attractions of its next edition. The event, which did not occur in 2020 and 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic, will take place in a live format on March 25, 26, and 27, 2022, at the Interlagos Race Track in São Paulo.

The Strokes, Miley Cirus, and Foo Fighters will be headlining the festival’s 9th in Brazil. In addition to the names, the event organizers have released the division of the attractions of its line-up by day.

On November 3, a period starts for those who bought a ticket for the 2020 edition to exchange their pass for one for the next edition. From November 18 on, ticket sales will be open to the general public.

Since the festival has been postponed, it has not yet officially announced if the ticket prices will be the same as before or if there will be price changes. In 2020, tickets cost from R$ 360. The Lolla Double, which was valid for two days of the event, cost R$750 for half admission, R$850 for social admission and R$1500 for full admission.

According to a statement sent by the production of Lollapalooza, the festival team continues to prioritize the safety of fans, artists, and staff, and the health measures in place at the time of the event will be met.

Lollapalooza is an annual four-day music festival held in Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois. It started as a touring event in 1991. Music genres include but are not limited to alternative rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip hop, and electronic music. Lollapalooza has also featured visual arts, nonprofit organizations, and political organizations.

The festival in Chicago’s Grant Park hosts an estimated 400,000 people each July and sells out annually. Lollapalooza is considered one of the largest and most iconic music festivals globally and one of the longest-running in the United States.
