The discussion panel will be held at La Calaca gourmet Mexican restaurant in Leblon, which is co-owned by American expatriate here Kristen Caverly Peixoto, and will go from 7PM-9:30 PM offering R$10 margaritas and R$20 taco plates (three deliciously created soft-shell tacos).

The main attraction of the event, however, is the discussion panel. The Rio Times has brought together seasoned veterans to share their knowledge, experience and advice for those interested in the topics.

Stone Korshak, editor and publisher of The Rio Times explains, “We used to do a version of this back in 2011 and it was something people always came out for. This new format is going to be bigger and more organized around the speaking, and then questions and answers.”

Adding, “Each of these folks joining us have managed to successfully operate in their area for years here, something that is a testament in itself to their expertise. But we’re going to have fun with it also, with a special surprise MC, and generous food and drink promotion from La Calaca, so we’re expecting a packed house.”

Co-Hosts and guest speakers are Mathieu Piques from Europartner, who will speak about the legal and financial process of creating a business in Brazil. The firm has a focus on bookkeeping, and is specialized in accounting, consulting and project development in Brazil.

Korshak explains, “These are each topics that people always want to discuss and learn more about, as they affect so many of us foreigners here in Rio. This was an opportunity to get the experts together and offer a service to the community, all over some great food and drink at this chic new Leblon location.”

Entrance to this event will be limited to fifty places, and a guaranteed seat requires pre-purchasing a ticket for R$50 online. If seating is still available on the night of the event, entrance will be R$80 (cash only).
