Arraiá do Me Enterra na Quarta (Centro) – A traditional bloco from Rio’s Carnival scene, Me Enterra na Quarta will be playing this Friday at Cordão do Bola Preta.
The Carnival mood merges to the Festa Junina vibes in this party, which happens from 10 PM to 5 AM.

Forró de Bamba (Lapa) – It’s time for some live forró music at Clube dos Democráticos, in Lapa.

Casa da Cachaça (Lapa)
This cultural heritage site of Rio de Janeiro was the first cachaçaria to open in the city, back in 1960. And by the looks of things, they’ve been busy ever since, with over 200 cachaças piled up the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The regular caipirinhas here are a great value and pack a punch. For an exciting twist, try a flavored shot, such as the açaí-infused cachaça.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and finishes at 8 PM.
