MÚSICA BRASILEIRA:
PedeTeresa (Lapa) – One of the most fun “rodas de samba” in Centro, PedeTeresa is back to Praça Tiradentes tonight.
This free event happens from 6 PM to 1 PM, with great samba music filling the entire Tiradentes Square.

PARTY:
Watergate Berlin in Rio (Centro) – The Watergate, one of the coolest clubs in Berlin, brought their DJs all the way from Germany to spin in Casa França-Brasil tonight.
There will be nothing less than nine DJs spinning all night long. There will also be visual art exhibitions at the event.

Forró de Bamba (Lapa) – It’s time for some live forró music at Clube dos Democráticos, in Lapa.
Group Estopim will make everyone dance until the late hours with traditional forró. DJ Barba Roots will spin Brazilian music during the intervals.

Bartman (Flamengo)
This eccentric boteco does everything right. With great Brazilian bar food, excellent beer, and a loyal crowd, Bartman also sets itself apart from the competition with its mad decor of kitschy comic book regalia. Try the carne seca with fried aipim for a real hearty treat.

Casa da Cachaça (Lapa)
This cultural heritage site of Rio de Janeiro was the first cachaçaria to open in the city, back in 1960. And by the looks of things, they’ve been busy ever since, with over 200 cachaças piled up the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The regular caipirinhas here are a great value and pack a punch. For an interesting twist, try a flavored shot, such as the açaí-infused cachaça.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat who has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio, including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5 PM and finishes at 8 PM.
