Brasil Grime Show @ Fosfobox Bar Club (Copacabana) – Grime is the name for British hip-hop created under grey skies in grey housing blocks, but for one night it’s coming to sunny Copacabana. Come and see what all the fuss is about tonight at Fosfobox!
Their stellar list of DJs, including Mariana Filippo, Rodrigo S., and Marginal Men, will show you how. Plus, you can experience the exclusive Brasil Grime Show, featuring a diniBoy and ANTCO DJ set, plus SD9, Scarlett Wolf and Kbrum.
Tickets are between R$20 – R$50 and the night gets going at 11:30 PM.

Gafieira no amor @ Gafieira Elite (Centro) – The beautifully restored townhouse turned dance hall of Gafieira Elite is opening its doors, with love, for you to come and experience a night like no other, all for free!
Expect great Brazilian tunes from across the genres, courtesy of DJ Rafael Cassel (Festa Mistério do Planeta) and DJ Nicolle Neumann (Festa das Comadres), plus the obligatory cold, cold beers and a huge space brimming with energy and good vibes.
Proceedings start at 11 PM.

Bailarico @ Cordão da Bola Preta (Lapa) – Want to mix a bit of politics with your partying? Then come to Bailarico, a night dubbed as an ‘antifascist dance that promotes love and transformation.’
Who will be mobilizing the masses? Slam das Minas RJ, an all-female slam poetry and rap group; TechnoBrass, who play Brazilian-infused jazz; plus DJ sets courtesy of Tata Ogan (Vitrolinha), DJ Odara Kadiegi (SP – Pro Mundo Ficar Odara), and DJ Tales Mulatu (Pixta Carioca).
Tickets are between R$20 – R$30 and the night starts at 11 PM.

Bartman (Flamengo)
This eccentric boteco does everything right. With great Brazilian bar food, excellent beer, and a loyal crowd, Bartman also sets itself apart from the competition with its mad decor of kitschy comic book regalia. Try the carne de sol with fried aipim for a real hearty treat.

Casa da Cachaça (Lapa)
This cultural heritage site of Rio de Janeiro was the first cachaçaria to open in the city, back in 1960. And by the looks of things, they’ve been busy ever since, with over 200 cachaças piled up the walls and hanging from the ceiling. The regular caipirinhas here are a great value and pack a punch. For an interesting twist, try a flavored shot, such as the açaí-infused cachaça.

Imaculada Bar e Galeria (Saúde)
A charming old-world bar that hosts music and art exhibitions while serving excellent food and drinks. Located near both Pedra do Sal and Praça Mauá, they offer a hearty feijoada on Fridays and Saturdays, plus live music on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, including karaoke, samba, and jazz.
