Bloco do MUG @ Espaço Bella Vista (Glória) – The bloco do MUG (MUG Carnaval ‘bloco’) is back with even more music and dancing to make November feel like Carnaval in February! The bloco is commanded by André Gabeh and this time he’s bringing even more powerful percussion. In addition, of course there will be DJ sets from DJs Marcelo Paee and Dani Vieira.
This will be a great night with plenty of chances to sing and dance along to your favorite MPB tracks, and to get in the mood for Carnaval, which is only three months away!
This event gets started at 8PM, and tickets are free from 8PM until Midnight with your name on the event wall; otherwise tickets are R$20 until 1AM and R$30 after 1AM.

Deep In Rio @ Secret Location (Centro) – Deep In Rio returns to the street with a party in a secret location, somewhere hidden above the streets of Rio with a 360 degree view of Guanabara Bay.
The line-up includes: DJ Ju Ribeiro (Underhouse Crew / I like it), Sonar (Underhouse), All Of Me (Underhouse Crew / Love Sessions), Sarah Anders (Love Block), Pedro Passos (Deep Please / Rio Me), Ricardo (Deep In Rio), and Dub-Injection (Deep In Rio). Revellers can expect to hear plenty of deep house, techno, tech house, and much more!
This is a free event, and it is expected to kick off at around 11PM at a secret location close to Santos Dumont Airport.

RockBash #7 @ Casa da Matriz (Botafogo) – This Friday is the seventh edition of Rockbash, ready for another rock ‘n roll night! With rock of all kinds, going through all the decades, to dance to, to sing to, and to keep you on the dancefloor until the early hours.
On floor one will be songs for those that like to party. Classics, grunge, eighties, nineties and indie rock. DJing will be Graziella Ximenes (Rockaway | Festa Sex Tape), Raphaël Rataus (Divergências), and Arlei Machado (Clube dos 30).
On floor two is Karaoke indie, where you can sing over 8,000 classic rock tunes, from the Strokes to Lana Del Rey to Pearl Jam and the Rolling Stones.
Whoever arrives between 11PM-12PM can take advantage of a double serving of Czech premium lager.
Tickets are between R$10-R$40 and the night gets going at 11PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Blending culinary, drinks and fashion, the bar/store invites a different chef to prepare a new menu every week. Besides great imported beer labels, it usually serves delicious veggie food and homemade burgers.

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and crowd which frequents the establishment. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.
