PARTY:
Baila Me @ Pub Kriok (Lapa) – This Monday, Baila Me are putting on their first post-Carnival party packed with baile funk, reggaeton and all the latest pop hits. This is a truly international party for cariocas and gringos alike!
Pub Kriok’s top resident DJs will be supplying the tunes, and there are free caipirinhas until midnight! Also, until midnight entry is free with your name on the event wall, or otherwise it’s R$20. The party usually gets underway at 11PM.

Semana da Mulher @ Rio Music Week (Everywhere) – To celebrate the presence of female talent in Rio de Janeiro’s music scene, Rede Palcos do Rio is launching the special Rio Music Week ‘Semana da Mulher’ (Woman’s Week).
The participating venues are some of the best in the city, and between March 8th and 16th will be putting on special shows featuring the finest contemporary female talent. They are: Audio Rebel, Pub Panqss, Carioca da Gema, Olho da Rua, Duck Walk Pub, Teatro Odisseia, Machouche, Blue Note, Beco das Garrafas, Etnohaus, Casa Música & Inovação, Solar de Botafogo, Jazz Out and Mississippi Delta Blues Bar RJ.
Each venue will be promoting their own respective nights, but keep an eye on the event page for more information.
PARTY:
I Hate Mondays @ Fosfobox (Copacabana) – Carnival is over and it’s time to get off the streets and back into the clubs. But do not despair! Rio has some great clubs. I Hate Mondays at Fosfobox is the best disco party on a Monday, always bringing a killer line up of DJs and the latest tunes that will all but make you forget what day it is.
The line-up for tonight is features some big names of the Brazilian electronic music scene, including Marginal Men, Fernando Schlaepfer, Larinha, Bia Marques, Fábio Ramos, Tago Oli, Fernanda Fox, and Barbara Calomeni aka barbie marley.
Tickets are between R$20 – R$50 and the night begins at 11PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those who aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 6PM and finishes at 8PM.

Pavão Azul (Copacabana)
Pavão Azul is a lively bar in Copacabana, famous for its exceptionally cold beers and prawn pastels. It gets crowded there every night, making every day of the week seem like the weekend.

Blue Agave Copa (Copacabana)
As well as great drinks and authentic Mexican food, the Blue Agave bar in Copacabana is one of the best places to watch live sports. Make sure to check out the original Blue Agave located in Ipanema also.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Monday to Friday, Happy Hour is from 6PM to 8PM and Mondays are half-price steak nights starting at 8PM.

Nosso (Ipanema)
Located in a charming house at Maria Quitéria Street, its sophisticated drinks and dishes are undoubtedly worth a try. You will also enjoy Nosso if you are a rum lover: their rum drinks, with labels from Cuba and Jamaica, are the house specialties.
