Earlybird Jazz @ The Maze (Catete) – Experience the first of a new weekly event at bohemian jazz club The Maze.
Earlybird Jazz will see The Maze’s house band (Wolfram Goebel, tenor sax; Lennart Goebel, hammond organ; and Mário Lencina, drums and percussion) play a set which will then be followed by an open mic evening, for any budding jazz singers or instrumentalists out there.
Entry is R$20 and the night starts at 7:30 PM.

Roda de Samba @ Pedra do Sal (Saúde) – Be a part of perhaps the most famous evening of live samba in the entire Cidade Maravilhosa.
An authentic “roda de samba” (samba circle) at the birthplace of samba in Rio that is always a guaranteed evening of great music, dancing, and conviviality.
This free event starts at 6 PM and is sponsored by the nearby bars who encourage patrons to purchase drinks from their premises thereby supporting its continuation.
