Melim @ Midem (Centro) – This is a free open-air performance in the heart of Rio from one of Brazil’s biggest contemporary bands.
Famous for their hit songs such as ‘Meu Abrigo,’ ‘Ouvi Dizer,’ and ‘Dois Corações,’ Melim are a trio of siblings from Niterói who shot to fame in 2016 after taking part in the Brazilian reality show ‘Superstar.’ They are currently supporting their eponymous 2018 debut album.

PARTY:
The Glow Party! @ New Mariuzinn (Copacabana) – This is the Monday night party in Rio’s famous Copacabana neighborhood, with free caipirinhas until midnight, random tequila shots, and special promotions on beers and vodka energy drinks.
The music for the night will feature a live samba act. Then DJ Guga Fernandes, the resident DJ, will be spinning some house, hiphop and reggaeton, followed by DJ Dluccio who will spin everything from pop, to trap, to deep house.
If you’re looking for an upscale, big club experience, this promises to be the ticket. The dancefloor will be immersed in black light and they will be handing out everything from glow paint to glow bracelets and much more. The party starts at 11PM and tickets are between R$40-R$60.

Jazz @ Girassol Carioca Hostel (Lapa) – Every Monday, this is the place to go to get a dose of free jazz in Lapa, at the newly opened Girassol Carioca Hostel.
The Girassol Carioca Hostel is located on Avenida Mém de Sá, between the Lavradio and Gomes Freire streets, near the Arcos da Lapa and the Bar da Cachaça, and it boasts free entrance, a smoking area, friendly service, fair prices, varied cuisine and several beers, drinks and wines.
The jazz for this evening features the drummer Guga Pellicciotti with special guests including pianist João Nóbrega. The bar opens at 6PM and the jazz gets going at 8PM.

Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites.
