SambaRap Festival @ Fundição Progresso (Lapa) – Three of the biggest names in Brazilian music, Elza Soares, Rincon Sapiência and Diogo Nogueira are coming together for one night only!
SambaRap Festival will also include the SambaRap Laboratory, with plenty of free activities for everyone. There will also be an Afrofunk workshop, a lecture on the noble origin of Brazilian rap, plus a DJ workshop with DJ Tamy.
The free activities begin at 5PM and the doors for the concert open at 10PM. Tickets are available from R$40.

LIVE:
Samba dos Guimarães @ Mercado das Pulgas (Santa Teresa) – This Saturday evening, Samba dos Guimarães receives the group Samba du Black for an evening of top-quality live Brazilian music.
In the intervals there will be plenty of tunes from DJ Cicero, plus plenty of Brazilian street food to keep everyone well-fed.
Tickets are between R$15-R$25 and the evening begins at 7:30PM.

After Beach 3 Anos @ Secret Location (Centro) – The third anniversary of After Beach in Rio de Janeiro this Saturday will feature some of Rio De Janeiro’s hottest underground DJ’s playing in a secret location. The location will be revealed on the night at 8PM.
The line up will include Fino, Kaarlo (Finland), Wilhvlm (Australia), AlexizBcX, Andrei Yurievitch, Rafa Canholato, and Tiago Lucius.
This is a free event and should get started at 10PM.

Winehouse (Botafogo)
Winehouse is a wine bar run by a British expat that has brought an eclectic range of wines to Rio including a mix of fabulous national wines and international favorites. There is also a great selection of nibbles and cheese boards. For those that aren’t too keen on wine, there is plenty of beer and cocktail options too. Happy hour begins at 5PM and finishes at 8PM.

Blue Agave Ipanema is always a great place for Mexican food, drinks and for watching live sport streams and broadcasts. Just around the corner from Posto 9, the bar is also known for its mostly English-speaking staff and crowd which frequents the establishment.
