Ponto Br @ Galpão Ladeira das Artes (Cosme Velho) – This Sunday is the last performance of the “Na Eira” tour in Rio de Janeiro. The supporting act for the night will be the Foli Griô Orchestra
Ponto br is a collective formed by contemporary musicians and masters of traditional culture, who use music to dialogue between generations. Their show “Na Eira” has a unique and timeless sound. The group gathers together some of the masters of traditional Brazilian culture, such as Mestre Walter do Maracatu Estrela Brilhante de Recife, Dona Zezé de Iemanjá, and Ribeira do Bumba Boi de Maracanã, among others.
Foli Griô Orchestra is a group gathered to study the language of Afrobeat, influenced by Fela Kuti, the Nigerian creator of this musical genre. The repertoire of the group includes adaptations of the original songs and creation of arrangements and compositions that develop an identity of their own without losing, of course, the union of the rhythms with a political message, characteristic of Afrobeat.
In the intervals DJ Jada will be keeping the people dancing. Plus, there will be a Capoeira Wheel with the Capoeira Angola School of Mestre Marrom (CM Tatiana).

Brahms e Rachmaninov @ Sala Cecília Meireles (Lapa) – An unprecedented feat in Brazil: for the first time, the solo piano works of composers Johannes Brahms and Sergei Rachmaninov will be presented in full.
Two young piano maestros are to lead this marathon, Italian Emanuele Vito De Caria and Russian Elina Sarkisian. Over the course of five days, the pianists divide the stage of the Hall; the first part of the recitals are dedicated to the German composer. While the second one brings works of the Russian composer.
This is the first day of the marathon, and the concert starts at 6PM with tickets between R$20-R$40

Jazz @ Comuna (Botafogo) – The Trad Quartet will be performing this Sunday at Comuna. Their monthly live jazz meeting will feautre musicians Marcelo Santos (sax), Pedro Araújo (guitar), Pablo Arruda (bass) and Emile Saubole (percussion).
Live, outdoors, and in three sessions: 7PM, 8:30PM and 10PM. There is also an open kitchen from 6:30PM to ensure that your Sunday is very tasty indeed.
This is a free event that begins at 6:30PM.
