We have the top three picks for this Tuesday, and below there is a list of bars and lounges that are always a good option.

LIVE:
Yuko Yokoi @ Beco das Garrafas (Copacabana) – Yuko Yokoi is a London-based Japanese jazz singer who is strongly influenced by Brazilian music. In her recently released album titled “Verde” she expresses her passion for Brazilian music and contemporary jazz.

She takes as her starting point the Japanese philosophy of “Wabi Sabi”, which is the search for the acceptance of the imperfection and the ephemeral nature of life. Her musical interpretations have a strong emphasis on improvisation as well as being emotional and sensitive.

Tonight she launches her new album which brings compositions of her favorite composers such as Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti and Chico Buarque and also some original partnerships. Yuko performs at Beco da Garrafas as part of her tour which also includes the UK and Japan and performs accompanied by guitarist Paulo de Oliveira and pianist Luísa Miter.

There is an artistic cover charge of R$30 and the evening begins at 8PM.

Yuko Yokoi – Rua Duvivier 37 – Copacabana

This is a free event, everyone is welcome. Come early and enjoy one of Comuna’s famously delicious homemade burgers and wash it down with an icecold beer!

The evening should begin around 7PM.
