Terça de Raiz @ Arco do Teles (Centro) – This Tuesday join Samba de Raiz for a traditional “roda da samba” (samba circle) in the city center, featuring Grupo Samba Chegou and Thiago Torres.

From 5-7 PM it’s happy hour, where you can enjoy two-for-one caipirinhas or a bucket of five Brahmas for R$30.

This free event begins at 5 PM.

Chiara Civello @ Theatro NET Rio (Copacabana) – Experience a live performance from one of Italy’s most dynamic voices, Chiara Civello.

As well as her worldwide acclaim, Civello has a special connection with Brazil, and she is sure to perform songs from Problemas, made with Ana Carolina and Dudu Falcão, as well as some of the great classics of Italian music that Civello has recorded with Brazilian legends such as Gilberto Gil and Chico Buarque.

Tickets are between R$50 – R$100 and the night starts at 9 PM.

Esquentadinha Despretensiosa @ Comuna (Botafogo) – To hear the latest from Rio’s electronic music scene, why not head down to Comuna in Botafogo for a double bill of DJs.

Get down to the sounds of Te Amo Te Odeio followed by Fabio Heinz.

What’s more, this event is free entry, and the music starts at 8 PM.

Dida Bar e Restaurante (Tijuca)
Specialized in Afro-Brazilian and African food, Bar da Dida is a great option for authentic, hard-to-find soulful food. Make sure to try their appetizers.

Shake Speakeasy Bar (Centro)
Run by the award-winning barman and mixologist Walter Garin, Shake Speakeasy mixes some of the best cocktails in the city in an inspired “hidden” location. Located in a shopping center a few steps away from the equally innovative Curto Café, Shake Speakeasy Bar may be a little hard to find, but its thirties ambiance and competitively-priced drinks make it well worth the trip.
