Centre de Musique Baroque de Versailles: À l’Opéra @ Sala Cecília Meireles (Lapa) – This second CMBV concert in the Sala Cecília Meireles brings suites of operas by Rameau and Lully.
Center de Musique Baroque de Versailles is teaming up with the Baroque Orchestra of UniRio (OBU), featuring Mira Glodeanu on violin, and Katia Velletaz as soprano. Edgar Duvivier @ Manouche Club (Jardim Botanico) – The Mojonight on Tuesday night at the new Manouche Club presents Edgar Duvivier this Tuesday for what is sure to be an evening of sophisticated and chilled music.
The clarinetist and saxophonist Edgar Duvivier mixes music from various genres, such as samba, choro, jazz, MPB, blues and rock, – songs that he admires and is inspired by – and presents a repertoire of songs from different eras and places. They are songs that mark both the place of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the classic eras of Brazilian music, songs that we know from movies, dances, shows, parties, but presented anew.
