LIVE:
Marcelo Amaro @ Teatro Rival Petrobras (Centro) – Created by the singer, composer and percussionist Marcelo Amaro, ‘Viva a Percussão’ shows that drums and percussion are today more than musical instruments, they are symbols of survival, of Brazil’s culture and a legacy of ancestral peoples.

The aim of the performance is to draw a percussive dialogue from samba, the mother of Brazilian music, while tracing its origins back to the most emblematic rhythms of Brazil and the African continent. ‘Viva a Percussão’ is also taking place to support the release of Marcelo Amaro’s new EP, also titled ‘Viva a Percussão’ containing six previously unpublished tracks.

The evening begins at 7:30PM and tickets are available from R$60.
