Saturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Chromeo at Circo Voador will no doubt be the spot for most of Rio on Saturday night. Chromeo is the Canadian duo of electro-funk formed in 2004 by childhood friends P-Thugg (keyboards, synthesizers, vocals and talk box) and Dave 1 (guitar and lead vocals). The two often joke that Chromeo is the only successful partnership between people of Arabic and Jewish decent since the rise of modern society. Another important connection of Chromeo is A-Track, one of the most talented DJs and producers today – half of the duo Duck Sauce, author of the mega hit Barbra Streisand, who also happens to be the brother of Dave 1.
