229 People Displaced, Six Dead After Heavy Rainfall in Espírito Santo State

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL -  After the heavy rainfall that has affected the state's southern region since Friday, January 17th, Espírito Santo records 229 displaced people, 182 homeless, one injured and six dead. The information is included in a bulletin released by the state's Civil Defense at 11 AM on Sunday, January 19th.

The municipality with the highest number of displaced people is Vargem Alta: 212. Rio Novo do Sul has nine displaced people and Anchieta, eight. Anchieta has the highest number of homeless: 80. They are all currently settled in the Limeira Social Center.
