Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Chile announce partnership to resume tourism activities

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - On Friday, Brazil's Minister of Tourism Gilson Machado Neto announced in Recife that Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile will implement a joint action plan to reopen tourism activities.

To enable this resumption, these countries' governments have signed an agreement. The initiative was announced after the 25th MERCOSUR Tourism Ministers Meeting, at the Mar Hotel, in Boa Viagem, Recife, the capital of Pernambuco.

According to Gilson Machado Neto, the measure will allow tourists to cross the countries' borders while complying with health protocols to be drawn up by the Ministries of Health.
