Brazil Rio to eliminate capacity limits in movie theaters, party venues and shopping malls

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - This is yet another step by the city that has been gradually relaxing the restrictive measures adopted to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Mask use will remain compulsory in all these venues.

The announcement was made during the reopening event of CineCarioca Nova Brasília. The 91-seat movie theater, located in Complexo do Alemão, is the first to be installed in a favela community in Rio de Janeiro. The space opened in 2010 had been closed since December 2019, even before the pandemic broke out in Brazil.
