Brazil’s machinery and equipment industry June sales up 45% over 2020 – ABIMAQ

In the first half of the year the sector's revenue grew 40.3% compared to the same period in 2020. For this year, ABIMAQ is projecting 18% to 20% growth in the sector.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Turnover in the Brazilian machinery and equipment industry grew 45.4% in June compared to the same month last year, totaling R$17.5 (US$3.4) billion in 2021. Compared to last month there was stability, with a variation of -0.1%.

The data were released July 28 by the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ).
