Brazil’s São Paulo launches building works program with US$9 billion investment

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - An investment of R$47.5 (US$9) billion is planned until 2022, the end of the current administration.

A total of 8,000 construction works and the generation of 200,000 jobs are projected. Investments will be allocated in R$22.5 billion over 2021 and another R$25 billion in 2022.

The Pró SP program includes projects such as the resumption of the subway Line-6 Orange works, the construction of the monorail Line-17, extensions to the subway Line-2 Green and to CPTM Line-9, and the decontamination of the Pinheiros River . . .
