Cannafusion: first line of cannabis infusions launched in Paraguay

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Cannafusion brand sachets are made with 100% Paraguayan products. They are a blend of herbs and fruits whose aromas and flavors are enhanced in combination with cannabis seeds and oil.

The line uses a new item in the country as raw material. Unlike marijuana or psychoactive cannabis, the plant used in the industry has a tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) limit of 0.5%.

All three flavors contain cannabis or industrial hemp, but differ in their other components. Cannachill contains dried orange, Cannagest is made with yerba mate and dried fruit, and Cannargy has lemon and catuaba.

Deutsch Import’s marketing director Miguel Kim explained that consumers will not taste the cannabis, but will reap its benefits as it contains antioxidants that help the cardiovascular system, the metabolic process and the immune system. The product also has an anti-inflammatory effect, relieves pain and stress.

Each box has 10 bags with 2 grams of infusion each. Deutsch Import is the company in charge of manufacturing the recently launched infusions, shortly after the introduction of hemp-shelled peanut butters under the Natura Seed brand in Paraguay.

Both teas and butter can be found on shelves in some of the country’s cities.

According to Kim, the next step is to export the product to Costa Rica, expected to begin in September, and to Europe in October. Moreover, a new cosmetic product line is about to hit the market.
