Colombia: Police officer accused of killing teenager in protests

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - An officer of the Colombian police force was accused of murdering a 17-year-old boy with a shot in the head during the massive protests against the government of Iván Duque, the Prosecutor's Office reported Thursday, May 13.

According to the Prosecutor's Office account, Luis Angel Piedrahita was "kicked by the teenager" and reacted by firing "with his service weapon on two occasions . . .
