Consumers Can Now Block Telemarketing: “Do Not Disturb” List is Online

The "Não Perturbe" (Do Not Disturb) list becames effective Tuesday, July 16th; customers may register to stop receiving telephone, pay-TV, and internet offers.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Não Perturbe ("Do Not Disturb") list for telecommunications operators came into force this Tuesday, July 16th. Consumers who no longer wish to receive telemarketing calls offering specific telecommunication, pay-TV, and internet services may subscribe to this national list.

The online registration will be managed by the very companies, as determined by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel). The measure is applicable to Algar, Claro/Net, Nextel, Oi, Sercomtel, Sky, TIM and . . .
