RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Ministry of Health's daily update released yesterday, August 18th, reported 3,407,354 confirmed cases in Brazil since the start of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Between Monday, August 17th and yesterday, another 47,784 people were diagnosed with Covid-19, as reported by the state and municipal Health Secretariats.
The result marked a 1.4 percent increase over Monday, when the Ministry of Health's panel reported 3,359,570 people infected since the start of the count.
