RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Wednesday night, eight burglars invaded an entire residential building in Jardins, a noble area of São Paulo, made the residents hostage and robbed the apartments.
At least four apartments were invaded. The gang entered the building located on Alameda Casa Branca around 7:30 pm. The robbery lasted approximately one a half hour.
Burglars stole jewelry and electronics and took the CCTV recordings with them, before escaping.
According to the Military Police, one of the criminals had scheduled an appointment with a real estate broker to view one of the apartments, planning to invade the building.
When entry was cleared, the criminal and two accomplices immobilized the doorman and the broker. The other five burglars entered the condominium through the garage and kept residents hostage.
