Dollar rises to highest level since April at R$5.537

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Yesterday’s quotation is the highest since April 20, when it reached R$5.551. From then on, the price fell steadily, reaching its lowest on June 24, when it closed at R$4.905. Since then, the quotation has been on an upward trend.

On the other hand, the B3’s Ibovespa index closed the day at 112,180 points, down 0.58%.

The day began positive in the stock market, reaching 113,981 points at 10:49 AM. But as the day progressed, the drop became sharper. Nevertheless, the Ibovespa has been showing a slight increase since last Tuesday, when it closed at 110,457 points. The day before, it had closed at 110,393 points.

In terms of shares on the stock exchange, the highest rises were recorded by Pão de Açúcar ON (5.28%), EMBRAER ON (4.89%) and Cemig PN (3.18). The biggest drops were experienced by Banco Inter (-10.22%), Banco Inter PN (-9.82%) and Banco Pan PN (-8.07%).
