Homicides in Brazil Dropped 21.1 Percent from January to October 2019

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The number of homicides in Brazil dropped 21.1 percent from January to October last year compared to the same period in 2018, according to data released by the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety, based on information from the National Public Security Information System, Prisons, Weapons and Ammunition Traceability, Genetic Material, Digital and Drug (SINESP).

As a result, more than 8,700 lives were preserved in the period, according to the Ministry.
