Latam Airlines to open 7 new destinations in Brazil in first quarter 2022
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The company is advancing in its financial restructuring process in the United States, expecting its conclusion still this year.
With Latam’s new wave of investment in Brazil, its number of destinations will increase from 44 to 56 by the first quarter 2022. The company also recently announced new routes to Comandatuba, Jericoacoara, Juazeiro do Norte, Petrolina and Vitória da Conquista.
Latam’s investments will enable the inauguration of 33 new routes between January and March 2022, mainly from its hubs in Guarulhos and Brasilia. The company currently operates 101 routes in Brazil, and by March 2022, it will run 134.
Latam said it will soon announce further details about the new routes.
The airline’s plan to expand its routes was submitted on Wednesday to Chief of Staff Ciro Nogueira. The meeting took place in Brasilia and was attended by the Latam Brasil’s CEO Jerome Cadier and by the president of the Brazilian Association of Airline Companies (ABEAR) Eduardo Sanovicz.
