RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Bites, well-known consultants in social network data analysis, compiled figures through yesterday, June 11th, on social networks after the leaked messages from Minister Sérgio Moro and Lava Jato’s federal prosecutors. According to Bites, Sérgio Moro is at a numerical disadvantage — largely due to poor support from Jair Bolsonaro.
“Without this support, Moro will be unable to face the digital tsunami after the denunciations,” said a recently closed Bites report.
The #vazajato hashtag reached 255,700 posts at 6 PM yesterday against 36,200 for #euapoioalavajato.
Among the 300 articles in Portuguese with the greatest repercussions on social networks in the last 24 hours, 177 addressed the leaks and recorded 7.3 million hits on Twitter and Facebook.
Manoel Fernandes, director of Bites, estimates that should Jair Bolsonaro publish some defense of his minister on his social networks, the matter will change instantly, as the president’s followers will mobilize around Moro.
“It would be an important indication for a counter-attack, reviving the mood of the election campaign,” said Fernandes.
