RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Infectologist Julio Croda, Fiocruz researcher, said that the state of Rio de Janeiro is the most concerning regarding a potential second wave of the pandemic caused by the Coronavirus.
"The case of Rio is particularly worrying because I don't think they are adequately preparing for a second wave, nor does the population have adequate compliance [with preventive measures]," he pointed out.
According to Croda, the lack of social isolation and structural problems in the public health network may place the state on alert in case of a significant increase in new Covid-19 infections.
