City of Bauru Confirms Death of 17 and More Than 15 Thousand Patients by Dengue

There are still three deaths under investigation, awaiting examination results performed at the Instituto Adolfo Lutz.

SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - The Health Department of Bauru, in São Paulo inland, confirmed on Thursday (May 2nd) five more dengue-related deaths, amounting to 17 deaths from the disease this year.

There has been an increase of 1,395 new patients compared to the previous report, totaling 15,046 positive cases. The city of 364,000 inhabitants, which is in a state of emergency due to the disease, leads the national ranking of dengue cases this year, according to the Subscribe to our Premium Membership Plan.
