RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The new law was recently published in the Diário Oficial do Estado of Rio de Janeiro compelling bars, restaurants and nightclubs to adopt measures to assist women who feel at risk in the premises of such establishments.
According to the regulation, assistance to women must comprise the offer to escort them to their vehicles as well as providing information to the police, if necessary.
