Rio’s Metropolitano Shopping Hosts a Technology Circuit Until July 28th

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – You can find another option for children’s entertainment during the July vacation in the West Zone of Rio. After the “park” set up by the Animal Planet channel at the Rio Design shopping mall, it’s time for the Metropolitano Shopping Mall, also in Barra da Tijuca, to feature a new attraction.

The Tech Park is a technology circuit with several fun interactions, such as aerial drones, land drones, memory games, virtual reality, robotics, artificial intelligence, and tangrams.

The event is free of charge and is held from July 12th to 28th at the Mall’s Praça de Eventos (“Events Square”), located on the Level 1.

“The goal is to encourage the participants to experiment, have fun and learn a little more about the universe of technology and robotics,” says Luciane Treigher, marketing manager of Shopping Metropolitano Barra.

The event will provide adults and children with an opportunity to learn more about the technological world. The participants will be able to enjoy the whole venue and learn about all the activities.

Aerial Drone
Participants can fly an aerial drone in a session commanded by the promoter.

Land Drone
The challenge is to control a land-based robot within an obstacle course via smartphone.

Memory Game
Stimulating memory while enjoying oneself is a wonderful experience, and in this re-reading of the old Genius game, a famous memory-stimulating game, players can follow the color sequence with a difference: instead of a button, the touch will be on water.

Virtual Reality
The whole family can enjoy super fun virtual reality experiences.

Robotics (with Moss Robotics)
Technology lovers can learn the basics of robotics with Moss Robotics.

Artificial Intelligence (with Kitchen Robot)
Players will be able to test their reflexes by playing games against the Cozmo robot, a small robot with artificial intelligence. But stay alert, if Cozmo loses, it gets angry; eveb if it wins, it will try to annoy you.

Tangram
The famous Chinese puzzle in a technological format allows participants to emulate the different designs with physical pieces recognized by computer vision.
