Young Woman Dies in São Paulo State After Being Injected with Silicone

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Dayane, 25, a young woman from São Paulo state died this week after a “homemade” cosmetic surgery.

It is suspected that the victim’s glutei were injected with industrial silicone.

The cosmetic procedure was performed in the victim’s home and, according to her family, Dayane was abandoned by the professionals when she reported that she was feeling unwell. She died on Wednesday night.

According to the victim’s father, she hired two people from who were selling ‘cosmetic treatments’ to inject silicone into her buttocks.

The young woman’s procedure was scheduled for 12 noon on Wednesday, April 24th at the victim’s home. It is suspected that the product was industrial silicone.

During the procedure and based on the information given by Dayane to a friend and messages found by the family on her cell phone, Dayane was feeling unwell and was abandoned by the two professionals who suggested that she was having a ‘drop in blood pressure.’

The Civil Police will investigate the case and attempt to locate the people responsible for injecting the product in Dayane Rodrigues da Silva. The wake will be held on Thursday afternoon.

According to the police report, the babysitter of the victim’s three children rushed her to hospital “Santa Casa” in Lorena, where she was admitted at 4.53pm.

She was immediately referred to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital but did not survive. The incident was recorded as a murder. No one has been arrested.
