As part of protective measures for U.S. citizens, the U.S. government had advised against travel to Paraguay, due to the high level of Covid-19 community presence, as well as the danger posed by criminal groups operating in the country.

In its list, the State Department had placed Paraguay among the most dangerous countries. Level 4 warns against travel; level 3 recommends to reconsider travel; level 2 recommends to increase travel precaution; and level 1 recommends only traveling with caution.

After several consecutive days registering at least 1 coronavirus death, yesterday the Ministry of Public Health report did not register any death due to Covid-19, maintaining the number of deaths in Paraguay at 16,228.

Moreover, from 1,710 samples tested, 24 were positive, and that 35 people are still hospitalized. Of the total number of hospitalized patients, 12 are in intensive care units, the Ministry reported.
