Residential rental prices in São Paulo city up 3.12% in 12 months through June

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The average price of new residential rental contracts in the city of São Paulo rose 3.12% from July 2020 through June this year, according to data released by the Housing Union (Secovi-SP) on Monday, July 19.

The figure fell below the IGP-M index, used to adjust existing rental contracts, which recorded a variation of 35.75% in the same period. The average value of new rental contracts remained virtually stable in June compared to May, with a slight increase of 0.20%.
