Brazilian Wins Gold and Makes History at Fencing World Cup in Hungary

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Nathalie Moellhausen won Brazil's first fencing gold medal, in the Women's Individual Épée event, by defeating Chinese Sheng Lin in the final, by 13/12 in overtime, on Thursday, July 18th in the Fencing World Cup held in Budapest, Hungary.

In addition to becoming world champion at age 33, the naturalized Brazilian, formerly an Italian citizen, won the first gold medal for Brazil in the history of this competition.
