RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Fluminense bounced back from Sunday's shocking defeat to Bahia with a comfortable 3-1 win over relegation candidates Avai at the Engenhão last night in the 25th round of the Brasileirão. Brazilian international Fred scored his side's first two goals either side of an Avai reply and an exquisite cross from full-back Mariano was converted by Martinuccio to make the points safe.
